Overlooking a beautiful valley to the north and foothills to south, we are located on a hill top at the edge of Gilroy, California, the Garlic Capital of the World. Not only noted worldwide for its garlic but for its annual Garlic Festival which is held on the fourth full weekend of July.
We welcome you to browse our web site and familiarize yourself with the ELKS Organization and what we do locally, statewide and nationally for charity. We are a Fraternal Organization who has dedicated ourselves to the cardinal principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity. With these principals ever in mind, we have developed programs to help mentally and physically challenged children to receive the care and therapy needed to become self reliant and independent. Here in Gilroy, one of our principal charities is the Gateway Center for the Handicapped. In addition, the Elks provide vision screening for pre-school children to give them a head start before their school years. Under the umbrella of the "Elk's National Foundation", which is the charitable arm of the Order, we are able to offer up to six college scholarships per year to our local High School students. In addition, we are funded through Elks National Foundation to support our Elks' National Hoop Shoot Program, Elks Drug Awareness Program, and Veterans Services.
The Gilroy Lodge, like so many Lodges throughout the United States, is committed to upholding the principals and supporting the goals of the Order. Members of the Order are always welcome to our Lodge and invited to tour our wonderful facility and to take advantage of the beautiful surrounding golf courses and visit our local wineries.
